The Atlanta Streetcar was closed during the national championship game on the recommendation of security officials, Atlanta Mayor Keisha Lance Bottoms said on Thursday.
"There were a few hiccups as would be expected in any event when you have that large number of people, as well as a presidential visit, but in the true Atlanta way, we met those challenges with true professionalism," Bottoms said.
Bottoms also announced a team of 38 local officials, executives and entertainers to help her transition into office.
The team is co-chaired by Larry Gellerstedt, chairman of the board & CEO of Cousins Properties, and Vicki Palmer, former executive vice president of Coca-Cola Enterprises.
Bottoms also announced her first appointment, Marva Lewis, as chief of staff.
Bottoms wants her team "to come with fresh ideas and recommend best practices and make sure we attract the best talent.
"This is just the start of the work we will do," she said.
