A traffic stop involving a suspected stolen vehicle led to a suspect being shot by police.
According to the Georgia Bureau of Investigation, Atlanta police conducted a traffic stop involving the vehicle around 3:20 pm on Jonesboro Road.
The suspect then fled the scene and wrecked and struck several patrol cars several times. Officers shot the suspect at the final wreck scene on Forest Park Road.
The suspect is in critical condition at Grady Memorial Hospital and the GBI is still determining exactly what happened.
According to Atlanta Police spokesperson S.R. Brown, the incident happened in the area of South River Industrial and Forest Park Road.
It appears that no officers were injured, Brown said.
