The United States won the bronze medal in the figure skating team event after the three-day competition concluded on Sunday in PyeongChang.

Canada won the gold medal with 73 points. The Olympic Athletes of Russia (OAR) finished with 66 points, winning the silver medal. The U.S. had 62.

All three nations held on to their same spot on the leaderboard from the previous day.

Adam Rippon gave a stellar performance in the men's free skate, but the lack of difficulty kept his score lower than OAR's Mikhail Kolyada and Canada's Patrick Chan. Yet his nearly flawless routine helped the U.S. pull away from Italy, who went into the day only one point behind the U.S.
