Marietta fire displaces 4 families

They were able to contain the fire in the apartment where it originated but there is still no word on what caused it.

MARIETTA, Ga. - Firefighters battled a blaze overnight that displaced 4 families.

According to Marietta Fire, reports of an active fire at an apartment complex came in at 12:19 a.m.

Firefighters arrived to the 1900 block of Bells Ferry Road to find flames coming out of the top floors of the apartment building.

They were able to contain the fire in the apartment where it originated but there is still no word on what caused it.

A total of four families, nine people, were displaced by the fire and Red Cross has been called to assist families at this time.

No injuries were reported.
