The Shibutani's did their free skate to the Coldplay song "Paradise" and received a score of over 114. That put their combined score up to 192.59. They took the lead, but they were bumped to third after the French couple of Gabriella Papadakis and Guillaume Cizeron moved up to first, then Canada's Tessa Virtue and Scott Moir gave the final performance of the night and won the gold medal.

The other American couple of Zachary Donohue and Madison Hubbell received fourth place.

It's the second medal for the Shibutani's at the Olympics. They helped the U.S. win bronze in the team event earlier in the Games.

The brother-sister team are two-time U.S. National champions. It was their second Olympics, finishing in ninth in 2014.
