Bankston was unfortunately hit and died at the scene. Family has started a GoFundMe page to help cover the costs of funeral expenses.

In the car was his pregnant fiancé, a younger sister and his children. Thankfully, they were not physically injured.

Family and friends gathered outside where the incident happened, to remember their family member, affectionately nicknamed, Nicc.

"He’s a wonderful father. Good man. Everybody loves him. Very respectful. He was a ‘yes ma’am’, ‘no ma’am’-type of young man. Thank you, all the police officers and investigators,” Bankston’s aunt said.
