ATLANTA -- The World of Coca-Cola in downtown Atlanta has begun reopening after a bomb threat, officials with the attraction confirmed Tuesday afternoon.

The threat was reported at 121 Baker Street NW and K9 units were brought in to search the location. The World of Coca-Cola confirmed the evacuation was precautionary and later updated that law enforcement had given the all-clear to reopen its doors.

"Today at our World of Coca-Cola attraction, we were notified of a potential threat to the safety of our guests," the statement read. "Out of an abundance of caution, we evacuated the facility while law enforcement agencies investigated the validity of the claims."

The Georgia Aquarium also corrected previous reports from Atlanta police that they had been evacuated as well but added that they were carefully watching the investigation.

"Our animals, guests, and staff are our number one priority and after assessing the situation alongside World of Coca-Cola and authorities, we believe there is no threat to Georgia Aquarium," Director of Communications Jessica Fontana said.

The World of Coca-Cola and its surroundings near Centennial Olympic Park are a popular tourist attraction in downtown Atlanta and bring many to the area each day.

That large population, combined with package explosions in Austin, Texas in recent days have led to extra precautions throughout the country - though, at may businesses and retailers, evacuations are common practice whenever a bomb threat is reported.
