15-year-old hits parked car, duplex in east Macon

A Macon woman says she was teaching her 15-year-old how to drive when her daughter lost control of the vehicle around 5:00 Friday morning.

A 15-year-old crashed into a parked vehicle, and then into the front of a duplex in east Macon on Friday morning.

The accident happened at 1340 Dublin Avenue around 5 a.m., according to a Bibb County Sheriff's Office news release.

The release says that Qwankellia Mack, 37, stopped at the intersection of Dublin Avenue at Magnolia Avenue to let her daughter get in the driver's seat.

She told deputies she was teaching her daughter how to drive.

She says when her daughter started put the car into drive and hit the gas, she lost control. She then hit a parked car that was at 1336 Dublin Avenue and ran into the front of a duplex at 1340 Dublin Avenue.
