A dog training group is hoping to save shelter dogs from being euthanized.
Brittanie Gray, owner of Gray's K-9 Academy, says some shelter dogs struggle to find homes without having basic manners. Today she help a fundraiser at Amerson River Park. the proceeds went towards training shelter dogs with "behavior issues."
Gray brought a few dogs she's already trained for an Easter phot shoot. People could take pictures with the pups for a small fee.
They only raised $40, but Gray says that it will still help. A training session can cost anywhere from 120-3800 dollars.
"It saves a lot of dogs in the long run, some dogs just pull they jump they’re pushy and they just need basic manners to have a home and without the training people are like I don’t want a jumping digging pulling dog," said Gray.
