HENRY COUNTY, Ga. — Two schools in Henry County were locked down for more than two hours on Friday after a threatening call.
The lockdown affected Austin Road middle and elementary schools and was being described as a "hard lockdown" after the threat to both schools was called in to the county 911 center around 11:30 am.
The lockdown was lifted at 1:45 pm.
No one was allowed to enter or leave the school and all students and teachers were required to remain in classrooms. No students or staff were ever injured.
Despite a limited number of threats in recent weeks, it's one of several that were reported in metro Atlanta since the Parkland, Florida school shooting on Feb. 14.
Several occurred within the first month after the horrific crime.
