Watch | Video released of high-speed chase on 400 that sent officer, suspect to hospital

ALPHARETTA, GA. — Officials have released dashcam footage showing a high-speed chase that started on GA-400 and ended in a wreck at the intersection of Crabapple Rd. and Rucker Rd. near the Alpharetta-Roswell city limits.

The 20-minute long video shows an Alpharetta Police car pursuing the suspect, John Bolling, 49, at video-game-like speeds.

During the pursuit, several other police cruisers are seen lining the roadways as the pursuing officer and suspect vehicle make their way through Sandy Springs, Alpharetta and Roswell.

The suspect runs through several red lights and even starts traveling down the wrong side of the road.

Eventually, the video ends with the officer ramming into the suspect vehicle.

According to Alpharetta Police, officers attempted to deploy stop sticks at multiple locations but were unsuccessful with stopping Bolling.

Both Bolling and the pursuing officer were transported to the hospital after the wreck where the officer was treated for minor injuries and was released.

The Alpharetta Police officer involved in the chase is Dustin Bak. Officer Bak is recovering from his injuries and is expected to return to duty soon.

Bolling was charged with felony fleeing and eluding, speeding - 143 mph in a 65 mph zone, reckless driving, DUI/less safe, failure to maintain lane, failure to signal/changing lanes, driving on the wrong side of the road, failure to obey traffic control device (lights and stop signs) and driving while unlicensed.

Police said he had outstanding warrants for aggravated stalking and DUI prior to the car chase.
