Cagle campaign releases two new ads

The Casey Cagle for governor campaign has released two new television ads.

The Casey Cagle gubernatorial campaign released two new 30-second ads on Monday, focusing on education and on child care.

The ads both tout Cagle's background as lieutenant governor and takes credit for initiatives from Gov. Nathan Deal.

"I established college and career academies across Georgia," Cagle said in the education ad. "Where education is better aligned with industry needs. Where students explore career pathways to find their purpose in life, a successful career or a head-start on college."

In the other ad, Cagle tosses water on the current state foster care system.

"When a single mom is struggling with an addiction or a life-threatening illness, and needs a safe place for her child while she recovers, there's a better way to help than state foster care," Cagle said. "That's why I led the fight to pass the Strengthening Families Act -- to give parents the right to place their children with a trusted friend or church member."

The new ads join several others Cagle has started running across the state in the weeks leading up to next month's primary election.

Early voting begins across Georgia on April 30 ahead of the May 22 primaries.
