Suspects caught after police chase through two counties

ATLANTA -- A chase that began in Atlanta has ended all the way in Henry County, police said Tuesday.

According to Atlanta police spokesperson Donald Hannah, the chase began after officers learned of a stolen vehicle, a Toyota coupe, in southeast Atlanta.

From there, Georgia State Patrol joined the chase which crossed into Henry County on I-75. Two troopers headed west on Hudson Bridge Road and moved south onto Jodeco Road where they confronted the runaway driver.

It took two PIT maneuver attempts to disable the car since it struck the wall but continued along after the first. The second PIT caused the driver to crash near mile marker 212 on I-75. The driver was quickly taken into custody and the passenger was caught in the nearby woods by two troopers, a Henry County officer and a K9 unit.
