Atlanta murder suspect apprehended after two months on the run

Police said he shot his victim several times.

ATLANTA - Atlanta police have made an arrest in a shooting that left one man dead months before.

Just after 3 p.m. on March 28, Juan Carlos Alarcon of Conyers, Georgia was found suffering from multiple gunshot wounds in the 2700 block of Revere Drive. He was rushed to Grady Memorial Hospital but died of his injuries.

Police have since arrested 38-year-old Kevin Lamar Jones for the shooting and taken him to the Fulton County jail. Jones, who faces a murder charge, is set to appear in court for his first appearance hearing Wednesday at 11 a.m.
