DeKALB COUNTY, Ga. -- Police confirm a driver is dead after an interstate accident in DeKalb County overnight.
According to DeKalb police spokesperson Shiera Campbell, the victim, identified as 37-year-old Bryain Finley, lost control and left the road while on the I-285 exit at the eastbound I-20 ramp just after midnight. The vehicle then struck a tree killing the driver.
The resulting investigation shut down the ramp for several hours, Campbell said. The victim's name hasn't been released, though police confirm he was a black male.
DeKalb Police Department's traffic specialist unit has taken over the investigation.
