Cristiano Ronaldo won't accompany Juventus to Atlanta for MLS All-Star Game

Ronaldo, on the short list of the world's greatest soccer players, had agreed to a transfer deal (reportedly for $140 million) from Real Madrid to Juventus on July 10.

On Tuesday, the Italian futbol club Juventus announced Cristiano Ronaldo would not be present during the team's United States tour.

As such, Ronaldo won't be in Atlanta on Aug. 1, when Juve takes on a United-heavy listing of MLS All-Stars (Mercedes-Benz Stadium).

Ronaldo, on the short list of the world's greatest soccer players, had agreed to a transfer deal from Real Madrid to Juventus on July 10—reportedly for $140 million.

Soon after, speculation grew that Ronaldo (five-time winner of the Ballon d'Or award) would punctuate his franchise relocation by accompanying his teammates in America; but alas, that won't be the case.

The four-match slate for Juventus, which has claimed seven consecutive Serie A league titles (2012-18), will cover Philadelphia (July 25), Harrison, N.J. (July 28), Atlanta (Aug. 1) and Landover, Md. (Aug. 4).
