Police said the trio are suspects in at least four other robberies.

ATLANTA -- Three people have been arrested and charged in a series of armed robberies that happened earlier this year near Georgia Tech.

Gemontaz Holley, Sinquai Callaway and Donnell “Marquez” Frison, have been charged in connection with the crimes. Holley was already in custody in Washington County, Ga., and Callaway and Frison were taken into custody by Atlanta police and are currently in the Fulton County jail.

Three armed robberies happened in the Home Park area near Tech's campus, while the fourth happened in Buckhead. Police said the trio robbed individuals at gunpoint, taking personal property including laptops, smartphones, cash and credit cards.

All three are charged armed robbery, aggravated assault, possession of firearm by a convicted felon, and possession of firearm during the commission of a felony.

The robberies happened on Jan. 23 on Martina Drive and on Tumlin Street; Feb. 4 on Snyder Street; and Feb. 8 on State Street.

Police believe the trio were also involved in at least four additional robberies.
