JCPenney wants to hire 450 during Atlanta event on August 22

Management says they will be making offers of employment on the spot to qualified candidates during the event.

FOREST PARK, Ga. -- JCPenney says they are looking for about 450 people to fill a number of "logistic and fulfillment" positions in metro Atlanta at a hiring event.

The event will be held at the retailer's Logistics Center in Forest Park on Wednesday, Aug. 22, from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. There, management says they will be holding in-person interviews and making offers of employment on the spot to qualified candidates.

Available positions include jobs in the general warehouse, shipping, receiving, order filling, packing and bin replenishment.

They are looking for people at all skill levels. People who are interested are encouraged to apply online at JCPcareers.com prior to attending the event.

JCPenney has more than 850 locations around the nation and has been in business since 1902. The company offers a full associate discount of up to 25 percent, full-time schedules on first and second shifts, competitive pay and what the company describes as an inclusive team environment.

The event will be held at the JCPenney Logistics Center, 120 Penney Rd. in Forest Park.
