Two tractor-trailers crashed along Interstate 85 southbound near Boggs Road in Gwinnett County, blocking several lanes Wednesday morning.
A load of shredded plastic fell from one of the trucks across the roadway, according to officials.
Georgia Department of Transportation crews were working to remove the debris from the roadway.
As of 11:30 a.m., southbound backups began near Sugarloaf Parkway approaching the accident scene.
Motorists were advised to seek alternate routes in the area.
