Authorities have charged the parents of a 3-week-old baby with abuse after the child suffered numerous broken bones.
According to the Barrow County Sheriff's Office, deputies responded to Northeast Georgia Medical Center on Feb. 6.
Investigators said the infant had been abused and had suffered numerous broken bones and other injuries.
Authorities arrested the child's parents, 20-year-old Jarrett McCloud and 22-year-old Megan Richmond, both of Winder, Georgia. They're both charged with aggravated battery and cruelty to children (1st degree). McCloud has also been charged with reckless conduct.
The sheriff's office said the investigation is ongoing and "additional charges are likely."
