Man accused of shipping narcotics through the mail

Deputies said 33-year-old David Lawrence Anyanwu, of Bethlehem, Ga., was arrested after sending narcotics through the US Mail. He's been jailed on multiple trafficking and possession charges.

WINDER, Ga. — A 33-year-old Barrow County man has been charged with multiple drug trafficking and possession charges after investigators found bags of THC edibles, Ecstasy tablets, LSD and marijuana during a search.

Members of the Barrow County Sheriff's Office Narcotics Unit along with a Postal Inspector from the US Postal Service executed a search warrant at a home in the 1300 block of Brunton Road in Bethlehem, Ga., on February 4.

The warrant was tied to an ongoing investigation into the delivery of illegal narcotics being shipped through the mail.

During their search, investigators found multiple bags of edible candies containing THC, THC lollipops, THC vaping oil, about 140 grams of Ecstasy tablets, LSD and marijuana.

David Lawrence Anyanwu was arrested and charged with trafficking in ecstasy and multiple counts of possession of a Schedule I Narcotic.
