DEKALB COUNTY, Ga. — Family members are searching for a man who disappeared on Feb. 6 in DeKalb County and, days later, hasn't resurfaced.

William "Fred" McCrary's sister reported him missing two days after she lost contact with him. She had last seen McCrary at his home in the 4400 block of Blackbirch Lane according to a report filed with the DeKalb County Police Department. After that, she said her calls and texts to him hadn't been returned - something she said was unusual.

Family members have since put out a missing poster for the man, described as a "loving father and a devoted son" hoping someone in the public can help bring him home safe.

The 40-year-old man is described as about 5 feet 9 inches tall and 180 pounds. Anyone with information on his whereabouts is asked to call the DeKalb County police non-emergency number at 678-406-7929.

He's listed as missing case number 19-012426.
