Mattie's Call issued for Clayton County missing man

CLAYTON COUNTY, Ga. — Police have issued a Mattie's Call for a Clayton County man who police say has several mental illnesses. 

Vennie Harden, 65, went missing Sunday around 4 p.m. from his home in the 1300 block of Shelly Court in Hampton, Georgia. 

Police say Harden has been diagnosed with Schizophrenia and Bipolar Disorder, and is also known to have violent tendencies.

Harden was last seen wearing a black or gray long-sleeved thermal shirt, blue or gray sweatpants and a black skull cap.

The 65-year-old is 6'1" tall, weighs 185 pounds, and has brown eyes and black and gray hair. Police say he often hangs out at the Shell gas station near the intersection of McDonough and Panhandle Roads. 

Anyone who may have information on Harden's whereabouts is asked to call the Clayton County Police Department, or to dial 911.
