CHEROKEE COUNTY, Ga. — A 19-year-old woman who gave a fake name to authorities when a driver was arrested has gone missing - and the only clues are one county over.
The Cherokee County Sheriff's Office is asking for help finding Megan Malley McQueen who was last seen during a traffic stop in Bartow County. According to investigators, McQueen gave a fictitious name when the car she was in was pulled over.
She was later released from the scene and drove away in an acquaintance's car after the driver was arrested. The car was later found in Cherokee County with her belongings - including a cell phone - inside. But the teen was nowhere to be found.
Investigators aren't sure how the car got to Cherokee County - or who brought it there. So, they're hoping the public can help bring McQueen home safe or provide information that will help them find her.
McQueen is described as about 5 feet 7 inches tall and 151 pounds with orange-blonde bleached hair and hazel eyes. She has a tattoo on her neck that reads "Strength" and another on her right upper chest that reads "Stay Strong."
