A former Jones County deputy was arrested Thursday evening for False Statements and Violation of Oath of Office.
According to a news release from the Georgia Bureau of Investigation, on May 14, Ocmulgee Judicial Circuit District Attorney Stephen Bradley asked the GBI to investigate allegations of 48-year-old Michael Dee Thompson's inappropriate supervision of a confidential informant.
Thompson was arrested and booked into the Baldwin County Sheriff’s Office without incident and is currently being held at the Wilkinson County Sheriff’s Office Detention Center.
